Find our Picky Girls at Boston this Weekend!!

The Picky Crew kicks off the Boston Marathon weekend this Sunday with Steph racing the BAA 5k on Sunday morning. This will be Steph's first road race back since the Marathon Trials and she's psyched! Annie Loe, Picky Bar maker and shipping expert, will continue the Picky presence on Monday when she races her 12th marathon. Annie is going for 3:20 with her PR painfully close at 3:23.

We Want Pics!

This weekend is your chance to play paparazzi and try to catch Steph and Annie in action during their races. If you are in Boston and able to take photos of them racing, post it on our Facebook with an awesome caption and the winner...get this... will receive a FREE PRO PACK! (Two winners: one for each girl) Steph will be sporting her bright red and purple Adidas Kit (won't miss her) and Annie will be rocking our first ever, trial edition, dry-fit Picky Bars shirt. Jealous? If yes, tell us your favorite dri-fit shirt styles/brands for when we get some printed.

We caught up with Steph and Annie pre-race:
How has training gone?
Steph- Better than hoped
Annie- Awesome
Favorite Picky flavor?
Steph-Smooth Caffeinator
Annie- Nutless Wonder
Coffee or No Coffee Pre-Race?
Steph- silly question
Annie- Caffeinated for sure!
Any pre-race rituals/quirks?
Steph- Eat anything gluten and dairy free and watch Rocky 3 or 4
Annie- Must have pizza and listen to Taylor Swift
What do people yell at you?
Steph- Go Steph!
Annie- A-Loe also been called rockstar

Really great to hear that Steph is back in competitive form after the Trials injury. Best wishes to both her and Annie up in Boston! Also psyched to hear that a tech version of the Picky Bar shirt may possibly become available
—I wear the cotton number A LOT, but not on the roads, since I don’t use cotton for running. My favorite tech shirts are made by Asics; the ones sold under the brand name “Asics Favorite Short Sleeve” are pretty great, with a nice soft fabric, despite the very mundane handle. Asics Thermopolis shirts are also fantastic, though the material is heavier than that used for the Favorite shirts. (Oh, and rest assured: I do not work for Asics or own their stock!)

Good luck Steph and Annie, I know y’all are gonna tock it!! :) Sending good vibes your way. I would be SOOOOO excited for a Picky Bar tech shirt!! (I’m even scheming of ways to color-coordinate that outfit…! lol). I’ve worn Nike, NB, and Saucony tech shirts and have been pretty happy with all of them.

I’d totally run in a Picky Bar tech shirt! Would love to run my first marathon in one this fall. My favorite is Brooks’ Epiphany, but anything in a v-neck is great.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thank you!
